Will this GRE score hinder me from Stanford?

I took the test yesterday:

690 V, 670 Q, AW scores not in yet

I am applying to the School of Education. The program I am applying to accepts no more than 20 students annually, so I just want to ensure that I appear as competitive as possible. I believe my essay to be very strong, but I don't know how much the GRE comes into play when assessing a candidate.

The application deadline is Jan. 4, so if I retake on Dec. 5, I just may make it, but the question is whether or not to retake, and whether my current score would really be looked down upon? I realize it is not that low, but I imagine Stanford's expectations are high. Maybe I am a bit of a perfectionist as well. :)

Your thoughts on this score? Personally, I'd like to move on; it's just a test, but on the other hand, I'd really like to get into Stanford too.

Thanks a lot in advance!

High verbal, quite low math. However, from my understanding, GRE isn’t a preeminent factor in Education admissions.

If you know you can improve your math score by quite a lot (like 50 points) and not do any/much worse on the verbal, then it’s probably worth it to take it again, if only for piece-of-mind. If not, then I doubt the math score will matter much, and that verbal is pretty good.

What type of Ed program?

educational technology
