Will this help me get in?

I am hoping to go to UGA. And for anyone who doesn't know, UGA has decided to become very picky and raise the standards in the past years. I have a 3.63 right now, however by the time my application is reviewed (after 1st semester Sr. year) I should have around a 3.73. My first SAT was pretty low, but I will be taking the SAT and ACT a couple more times each later on. I also do sports, clubs, part-time job, and AP/IB courses.

Now to my question. I plan to do ROTC at UGA. Do you think that if I mention that in my application that it will look really good, and maybe set me apart from the other applicants? Will the admissions people like it?

Also, although I probably won't use the scholarship (I have other ways to pay for school), do you think it would help to mention in my application that I received a ROTC scholarship to UGA? Assuming I do receive it. Basically I'm wondering if mentioning that I plan to do ROTC, and that I got a ROTC scholarship will look really good, and help me get into UGA?

Thank you

Wait…maybe I haven’t understood this correctly, but why would you put you won a scholarship when you haven’t yet?

If you receive the ROTC scholarship, and plan to commit to do ROTC, mention it.

Are you a junior?

What is your SAT/ACT score?

Are you a Georgia resident?

I was saying that IF I receive the scholarship, I would mention it.

And yes I’m a junior, and a Georgia resident.
