I received the Harvard Prize Book my junior year and I was wondering if colleges recognize it as a great honor or if they see it as not very significant. Any help would be great! Thank you!

Well, it’s an academic award, and you could definitely write it down under the ‘Academic Honors’ section of the CommonApp, although it’s actually not a huge thing. It definitely won’t be the make-or-break factor of your application.

It is of no significance.

It won’t hurt, but I hear those awards are basically worthless.

I had a feeling that it was not as prestigious as it sounds. I just wanted to get some responses because I didn’t know much about the award. Thanks for the replies!
