I am a questbridge finalist that was not matched. Do you think I should list being a finalist as an award/honor on my common app? It definitely is an honor to me because only certain students become finalists, but do non-questbridge colleges really wanna know that I tried getting into colleges through binding early admission before I applied to them? Thanks for any input.

Absolutely list it! It’s quite an honor to have been a finalist, and no college (in their right mind) would reduce the value of your application because of it; in fact, many colleges, in an attempt to expand socioeconomic diversity, will give you a boost for being a high-performing low-income student (Like me).

I wouldn’t list it. It really doesn’t serve as an award/honor in the sense of what top tier colleges and universities are looking for. Schools will see (whether through questions on their application or financial aid information) your income bracket. It’s really just kind of a neutral point.

Questbridge finalist is an honor so you could list it. Are you applying RD through Questbridge too?
If so, I urge you to consider the LACs.

Without a doubt, list it.
