Will this hurt me?

One week ago I was rejected from National Honor Society after being invited.
Will this truly hurt my college application?

These are my credentials.
I am only 16 years old
I have a perfect score academically. 4.0 GPA out of 4.0 (all A's and top in my grade)
I am going to start the IB system
I was in student council for 3 years
I speak 4 languages
I have been in the softball team for 2 years
I was also cheerleading team last year
I also took part in the International Theater Student Association last year.
I participated in amnesty
I have been the leader for my dance group for 2 years.
I co-organized multiple bake sales for Haiti this year
I was class representative last year
This summer I am attending NSLC
and next summer I am visiting Africa to help orphans infected with the HIV virus.
I also spent 3 months teaching orphans and Thailand english

This is all before I start the IB program. I will do more the next couple years.

I hope to attend a good college will this rejection hurt my application?

Damn, I was hoping this was going to be a “Will poking a needle through my hand hurt me?” sort of threads. We just don’t seem to get them on CC unfortunately.

I don’t think it will really hurt you that much with the rest of the stuff you have…I have heard from friends that NHS is not important but I don’t really know for sure. I think all you are missing is an SAT/ACT score and your app will be fine.

Honestly, I don’t think being in NHS isn’t going to make or break your application. At some schools (like mine), it’s extremely easy to get into NHS. However, at other schools, it’s much more difficult and there’s a whole application process. Since it’s so unbalanced, I doubt it really matters to most colleges.

NHS doesn’t mean much to top schools. Thus, getting rejected from it will not hurt your chances in any way.

All that means nothing. You need to have state and national and international awards.

C’mon, cure cancer already.

(Assuming you are taking a shot at HYPS.)

Yeah I would agree. The international awards that is rewarded to you will place better emphasis than an Arista Society. Anybody in my school with a 92.5 can get in.

An all B-C student in my school got in NHS LOL
