So I have taken both the ACT once and SAT 3 times, I scored a 22 on the ACT, an 1120, 1220, and 1280 for the SAT. I do know that UC schools require you to send all scores, so I sent in both the ACT score and the SAT scores. However, some people are telling me that UC schools only required you to send all scores of one type of test to admissions. On my admissions, I self reported the highest SAT score, 1280. Will sending my ACT score hurt my chances for being admitted to a UC school or overshadow my self reported score because it’s a different type of test? Or will they still consider my highest self reported SAT score.
You are only required to send all SAT or ACT scores, but the UC’s will take the highest score from a single sitting so the ACT scores will not hurt you. They will use the 1280 score.
