Will This Hurt My Chances? Please help

Hey guys,

So Case is one of my safeties, but I just want to know if something I did is going to hurt my chances or not. I applied EA, and a few weeks ago, I requested an alumni interview. The interviewer in my area emailed me with his number a few days later. However, I honestly just became forgetful about it with school and everything else going on, so I never scheduled it. Will the fact that I never called him to schedule an interview hurt me? Like will he tell Case that I never did? If you think so, is it too late to still schedule one for this week even though decisions will probably come out next week?

Please try to help me out, because I'm beginning to freak out. Thanks so much.

I think it is okay to try to schedule your interview. It is still useful in that you will be able to ask questions about Case. Interviewers may have more than one interviewee and they know this time of year is busy…I would still reach out.

I would still call, apologize for not getting back to him sooner, and ask if he still has time to conduct the interview. No excuses needed. Then go, be enthusiastic, and ask some interesting questions. You never know- you may be deferred to RD and it would be nice to have this interview on record for later. May I ask, if this is your safety, have you figured out if it is affordable?
