By top colleges I mean Stanford, the Ivies.

Yes, to me it looks like you are taking a less rigorous curriculum your senior year. AP Env Sci is traditionally one of the less difficult AP classes, so it is fine to take it senior year if you are taking a very heavy courseload. But you are taking only one other AP class. Also, I don’t think Advanced DECA counts as a social studies/history and Stanford/Ivys require 4 years of social studies/history. And honestly, those schools also really really want to see their applicants having taken Calculus in high school, at some level. You took AP Stats junior year which took you back a step, instead of taking Algebra 3/trig junior year and Calc senior year.

I haven’t familiarized myself with the Ivy requirements yet but I know for a fact Stanford only requires 3 years of history.

Your math level could hurt you. No calculus? You really need to look at the requirements for each university.

Wow thank you guys for that insight. I’ve done quite a bit of research but I’ve never come across the calculus part. I will definitely work my way into calculus now! I’ve only familiarized myself with the requirements of Stanford so far and they don’t mention calculus and I simply haven’t come across it while researching other schools. Thanks! You guys might’ve just saved my butt!

Most top level schools mention that you should take the most rigorous coursework available at your school. Engineering majors at princeton are required to have taken Calculus.

And naturally any decent college will want to see Latin 7 on your schedule-- to ensure you can speak it fluently! Be sure to speak Latin during all your interviews. And while you are at it, pull out the violin or viola and explain that you’ve been playing since you were 3 for the Discipline (god forbid it would be for enjoyment of music) and show how technically advanced you are!

Give me a break! You can’t seriously be thinking that colleges will view your schedule as slacking can you. If so, colleges may wonder about your ability to reason and think independently-instead of following inane posters on cc!

Actually Stanford and Harvard recommend 3 years of social studies and while the vast majority of successful applicants will have taken calculus, I would not say that these schools “really really want to see” it. The OP has stated elsewhere the desire to be a French major, so lack of calculus is not necessarily a deal breaker.

That said, is the senior schedule less rigorous than the junior schedule? Perhaps. I think “slacking off” would be a harsh choice of words, though. Keep in mind that Stanford and Ivy League schools are a crapshoot for everyone, so hopefully the OP has some matches/safeties lined up as well.
