Will this Rescind Early Decision?

One of the people in my school who was accepted ED to Penn this year was caught vandalizing the school last week. The person stayed after school, and when no one’s around, they dumped paint all over the ceiling and walls of the bathroom. It took the custodial staff two hours to clean it up. This person was caught because two students saw them splashing paint in the bathroom. This person has a history of mentally unstable behaviour and def lied about their clubs/activities on their app. If Penn were notified of this, will they rescind decision?

I hope so.

But it’s not your job to do. Let guidance take care of it.

By ED agreement, an admitted student should have withdrawn all other applications. So if Penn rescinds it, he would have no school to go. It is kind of unfair to students.

Of course this person would be. Why would UPenn want a student like that at their facility? That behavior would not be tolerated at any school, and I’m sure he will as well be facing charges. What an idiot.

Not Penn’s problem. If Penn determines that the applicant violated the ED agreement, they can/will rescind the admissions offer.
