Will this schedule conflict hurt my chances?

I wanted to take 4 years of language ever since my freshman year. It's because I'm really good at the language I take, and I know it's suggested by many colleges. But today, I heard from my counselor that there were major schedule conflicts with my schedule for senior year.
I won't be able to take the language next year because of a schedule conflict, and I won't be able to take Modern Literature (Honors course) next spring.

I was devastated about the fact that I couldn't take a language course. I'm not that sad about not being able to take Modern Literature, because I know a couple of seniors this year that didn't take Mod Lit but still got into the college of their choice. I'll be taking a non-honors English course called American Lit in spring of senior year.

How will this affect how colleges look at me?

i doubt that will affect how colleges look at you at all

The English thing won’t matter at all b/c it’s second semester. If language interest is not something you’re highlighting on your app, it won’t affect you. However, if you indicate that you plan on majoring in a language or have extra-curriculars that revolve around language interest, try to pursue the language/another language outside of school. Can you take classes at a local community college or online? Can you continue the language by self-studying?
