I don’t know why, but the SAT 2 Math subject test kills me. I took it once at the end of freshman year and got a 650 and then took it again this year and got a 750. I know that it’s fairly easy to get an 800 on this test so it’s kind of terrible that I got a 750. However, I can’t take it again and it wouldn’t look that great to take it three times anyway. Does anyone think that this will this seriously harm my chances for selective schools that require subject tests?
Why did you take it your freshman year? I would take it a third time of you are set on getting an 800
750 isn’t bad. Yes, a high percentage gets 800s, but that is fine.
I asked my counselor about this because I was also worried about this last year. She’s been on adcom for UCI before, and she says that they really only look at the highest score.
Don’t worry, I got a low score on Bio M (bioengineering major here) even though Bio M is literally the easiest SAT2, but was still accepted to good colleges, so you’ll be fine whether or not you decide to take it again.
@Katecat27 They often tell students at my school to take it after completing precalculus which I did freshman year. Apparently that was not the best idea for me
750 is fine everywhere. Stop worrying about this and take other tests to show versatility in excellence.
