I'm a rising senior thinking about transferring. I go to a competitive private catholic school and hate it there. I've had a bad experience and fell into depression sophomore year. I want to transfer to the public school near me for my senior year. I know that is uncommon to so senior year but I really think it is in my best interest. The school has a good reputation and is ranked highly in our state. I'm a pretty good student and have a 29 on my ACT. But will it look bad to colleges transferring my senior year? I have two teachers who will write me a Rec letter and I know my counselor at either school I end up at will write me one. Input please!!! Thanks

Lots of students transfer for their senior years. Don’t worry about this one. Since you believe that transferring is in your best interest, do it.

Good luck with everything!
