Three course in total, B B C, overall GPA for spring should be 2.7… I will try to talk to me professor, thank you for your advice, hope my professor can help me :(

The projected summer classes I listed on my application are not being offered at my cc. They are non-major, elective courses that I wanted to take for a minor. Will UCB rescind my admission for not taking them?

Can you guys take over summer to boost your GPA?

Will Berkeley rescind me? I am not taking 2 of the classes I said I would for spring quarter. They aren’t required for my major or IGETC (they were for UCLA), and I’ve already finished the required amount of units. I sent an email but no response yet.

@Couldbeit- I am keeping my fingers crossed. Talk to all three professors. If you can raise just one of the grades your worries are over.

@Yenmor
thank you, but, the course with a grade C has the most units ;(

@Couldbeit

You could find a college that has courses that haven’t started yet. And/or talk to your professors, see if there is anything you can do. You can do it.

PS: I knew you would get in to Berkeley.

hi friend, glad to see you here, and I saw you on the UCB admission post also. By the way, did you make your decision about which university to attend?

@malamalinche

I dropped a summer course that wasn’t being offered at my school for the summer, and it did not affect my admission decision at UCLA.

So you’re in the clear for UCLA and expect to transfer in the fall without any problems now, @BurntCorpse?

@bjt223

You can take summer classes, but don’t expect it to affect your admission decision unless an admissions counselor specifically said it will. I’ve heard of some kids finishing up their 60 units, but nothing about raising GPA and having it affect admission decisions.

@Couldbeit

Good to see you too.

The second I got into UCB, my decision was made. Actually it wasn’t even a decision lol. I’ve dreamed about going to this school for a long time.

So do you think there’s any chance you can raise that C, or one of the other grades? If you explain your situation to your professors, perhaps they would be able to help you out. Or find a class that hasn’t started yet to raise your gpa.

@Cayton

I believe so. I submitted my schedule changes and received a reply a few days later informing me that my changes did not have an affect on my admission decision.

There’s still the lingering doubt that I even got in, in the first place and this is all a long, cruel, lucid dream.

@BurntCorpse

I’ll be sure to pinch you to assure you that this isn’t a dream when I get the chance.

@BurntCorpse

I have that same feeling! I’m like waiting for something to go wrong, even though I can’t even imagine what could go wrong at this point…

It’s almost like it feels like they made a mistake by admitting me, and before that my professors made mistakes and gave me the wrong grades lol. I know it’s real, but it’s hard to believe.

Does anyone know if we have to send UCLA our highschool transcripts? I know UCI is asking, but not sure if UCLA is…

YOWZA! The girl sitting on the desk on page 5 is astonishingly beautiful!

Edit: Even that guy sitting behind her is checking her out!

I’m definitely submitting my SIR now.

@BurntCorpse

No, for some reason, UCLA doesn’t require them. If you log in to your myUCLA account, click on the “New Students” tab, you should see a link that says “AP/SAT scores and high school transcripts.” Click on that and it’ll take you to a page that has a sort of checklist of things you have to send to UCLA by a certain date. It’ll state on that page that high school transcripts aren’t required.

If anyone was wondering what I was talking about, turn to page 5 in your UCLA’s admission packet. There’s a gorgeous model sitting on a desk.
