As did I. I had a 2.1~2.3 GPA by the time I graduated.

Hi everyone,

I am officially freaking out right now. I called UCLA wondering earlier if I could take my Math G.E. pass/no pass and the lady on the phone told me it was okay and there was no problem in doing so. The UC transfer matrix also states that this is okay. Now, after e-mailing UCLA post admissions they are saying that they expect me to take math/English or any major prep for a letter grade. I already started taking this class pass/no pass and I already SIR’d to UCLA. I am so shocked and sad right now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Will Berkeley rescind me?
On the Conditions of Admission, it states that I need to complete DANC38A, ICS5, POLI1.
But actually, I am now taking ICS7, & POLI1.
They are just elective classes and I have already completed my IGETC and Major Requirements in Winter Quarter, and I will have 97 UC transferable quarter units by the end of Spring. I sent an email but no response yet.

feel so nervous now… Thank you!

PS: I have already submitted my SIR and told the admission officer about this in the email 8-|

@Challenging dun worry, must be ok

Admitted into a math major in UCLA but I am worried I will be rescinded. I am not taking two classes this quarter listed in my application and am taking two other instead. The ones I am missing are a major prerequisite and a IGETC class. Those I am taking are another major prerequisite and a random class. I already submitted the Academic Changes and said I would take those two classes in summer. But I called the office this afternoon and they said they won’t take summer class into consideration. So I am not in a position worse than any of you guys’. A large chance I might be rescinded!!!

Submitted my changes but I haven’t heard anything back from them neither did my Decision Letter page change…so anxious right now.

I have a question about my conditions of admission for UCD. It states:

Complete all transferable in progress or planned courses with a GPA of 3.20 or higher, with no grade less than “C,” by the end of your spring term. To achieve the minimum overall UC-transferable grade point average required, you may need to achieve higher than “C” grades. In addition, you must be in good standing at each collegiate institution that you have attended.

Does that mean my 4 spring semester classes GPA have to be above 3.2, or my overall GPA after the spring semester classes? Really worried if it’s just the spring semester…

@paulhe

You’ve done everything you can up to this point. All you can do now is pray and hope for the best.

@gawdzillah

It says, “complete all transferable IN PROGRESS or PLANNED courses…”

I’m going to interpret that as getting at least a 3.2 for Spring semester

I get reply from ucla, i summit on april 20
I am fine!! Business Econ I am coming!

That’s great news @evanwong!! Now can join me in officially celebrating

Does anyone know how strict they are on UCD’s conditions of admission? A 3.2 for the spring semester seems kind of harsh. Especially if you are taking most of your major/hard classes. And why does it differ? I saw someone with the same major as me, but their condition of admission is only a 2.8 for spring semester.

So i took a calculus II class worth 5 units. I thought I had 63 units because of this, but apparently a 4 on calculus BC counted for Calc ii, so I am receiving 0 units for it. I thought a 4 covered Calc I, and a 5 Calc I & II. So my total is now 58 units. Im currently talking to my admissions counselor about it all, but I am so afraid my admission will be revoked. It’s crazy that i am getting 0 units for such a hard class.

and Berkeley sending me e-mails about the transfer edge summer stuff isn’t helping me feel any better either.

You don’t get any credit for the class because your AP score is giving you credit.

Bump

Hello all,
I am a computer engineering major SIRed to UCSD and am currently taking 5 courses this quarter at my CC, I am hoping to drop 2 of my courses due to my poor performance in them. These are my conditions of acceptance:

The courses I hope to drop are major relevant but according to assist.org UCSD has no “required” for admissions courses just that the completion of the following prior to ucsd entrance is advised to accelearte graduation process.
I am planning to take the courses that i intend to drop this summer at UCSD as they are still available.
Would I be rescinded for dropping these courses with a W? I emailed them but it was to no avail as I have not yet received a response (I assume they are busy at the moment).

I have a sickening feeling that I will probably get a D for one of my classes before transferring to Davis in the fall.
This class is only essential because it meets the minimum 90 quarter units I need. By dropping it or failing the class, I go below the 90 units. I’ve already for filled IGETC and the class isn’t needed for my major. If I tell Davis that I can retake the class over summer, will they still keep my acceptance? How strict are they about rescinding someone in my kind of situation?

I sent UCLA 3 courses I took in middle school (2 B’s in math classes Algebra and Precalc and a C in english comp) and they took away my provisional acceptance letter. This morning (after a week) the letter showed up again and I’m good to go.

@chaoscuber If u dont mind, may I ask why did u need to turn in middle school grade? R they even transferable? Or u took them during the middle school period but into a CC?
Because I am sort of within the same boat and already worried to death…
