@BurntCorpse What if I got multiple C’s in the last semester but my cumulative GPA is still above 3.2? Will I get rescinded for the multiple C’s? I reported the provisional contract and sooooo worried now… Those are not the major pre-requisite courses though. I couldn’t have dropped/withdrawn any courses because if I had done that, my earned credit hours would have been less than 60.

Hi! So when I was filling out my UC apps, I had planned to take Introductory Chemistry (Chem 110) during winter semester, but for some reason, there was no option to add classes to a winter semester; there was only Spring, Summer, and Fall. I decided to report it during the Spring 2014 semester. I ended up dropping the class, and reported it in my Transfer Academic Update. Now, after being admitted to UCD I noticed that the chem class is STILL there, saying that it’s in progress for Spring 2014. When I log on to my UC application, the class isn’t even there! What’s going on?? Is it possible that my admission could be revoked because of this?

Also, on my UCD admissions website it says the course is in progress but non-transferrable?

@SOWEIRD What’s your major? What CC do you go to, how many units do you have, and did you decide to go to Davis?

I had two c’s this semester and notified ucla. My admission offer still stands. I just wanted to notify anyone in the future that might be worried about getting two c’s.

@ssourialle What was your major and were the classes that you got c’s in major or non-major classes?

@ssourialle When did you notify UCLA and receive a replay? I reported a provision contract more than 10 days ago but I still haven’t heard anything back from UCLA. I am sooooooooooooo worried…

Got accepted by UCB. I’m afraid that they may cancel my admission since my term GPA for 2014 Spring is 2.86… Looking for a good reason to explain

When did you find out that you had a 2.86? Couldn’t you have said something sooner? They may not be willing to work with you so much now.

@CollegeDropout1 my major is gender studies and the classes i took were non major classes.
@RealgeukrakO I submitted it on Monday, May 26th and found out on Wednesday, May 28th.

@ssourialle That was pretty fast. I submitted mine about two weeks ago but I still haven’t heard anything back… SOOOOOO worried…

I made the regrettable mistake of putting off entering my grades on my UC application until the last minute, and consequently I made quite a few serious mistakes. I realized these mistakes and sent an email to the UC application center immediately. They told me to write a letter explaining my mistakes and the corrections to be made and send it to a PO box in Bakersfield, which I did - I sent it via certified mail, so I’d have proof it got there (which I do), and also called to confirm it had been received (which it had), and that it had been attached my application.

Fast forward five months: I’ve been accepted and SIR’d to UCSC. I was looking over my transcripts before sending them today and realized that I made ANOTHER error that I didn’t catch before. This one was really minor (forgot to include a class that I got a good grade in) and when I called the admissions office and told them about it, the counselor I spoke to basically told me I didn’t need to worry.

When I hung up, I was relieved… but he said something that, while I didn’t think anything of it at the time, I’ve started to worry might mean that they didn’t get the correction I sent, and that they accepted me based only on the grades on my transcript rather than my corrected grades (many of which were lower), and that I’m going to get my admission cancelled.

So my question is: Is it possible that the admissions department there didn’t notice the attachment to my application, or that the Bakersfield office failed to attach it? If either of these things happened, assuming that I can prove the letter was received and that either UC or UCSC made an error, where would that leave me in terms of my admission?

Has anyone experienced a similar situation before?

@dm4488

There’s nothing much else that you can do besides calling their admission help desk and explaining what happened. The person behind the desk will advise you on what to do next, which I believe will be submitting another correction, and waiting to see what their decision is.

@dm4488 - I hope you are over thinking. What did the person say that makes you think they did not get the correction ?

@Annie2015 - he read through a list of the transcripts I would need to send, and he didn’t list one school - which wasn’t on my application but was in the update. I’m hoping that my update was just not on the main screen he was looking at…

@BurntCorpse I did, waiting to hear now… I’m pretty nervous, I just noticed my acceptance page is blank now… is that normal??

@dm4488 I hope everything works out for you. You said you called to verify that it had been rec’d, and it had. Good luck, let us know how it works out.

I have already accepted by UCSB for pre-biology major. However, I got a D in my biology class. So what can I do?

Call them Monday morning, let them know and see if you can take in summer. @DarrenPan23. Being as you are pre-biology, you’re kind of behind the 8-ball.

I checked the summer schedule it seems this class will not offer in Summer.@lindyk8.

@darrenpan23 Try to find a class online or at a nearby CCC. If there’s a lab with it, I think the online class needs to have an on-site proctored lab. You really need to sell them when you talk to them. Find a class now so when you call you have the plan.
