I am currently in AP and IB classes. However, for one class (AP/IB Biology), I know that I will be getting a D second semester. For the other grades I have about 4 A's and 2 B's. My reasons for this grade is that I have to work in order to help with my family's financial situation. I started working last summer and had to work during the whole year. For first semester I got a C+ in that class . So far though I still have a 4.06 weighted GPA. Also, I have already taken about 6 science classes (honors bio, honors chem, ap chem, ib anatomy, and honors physics) so I surpassed the a-g requirements. Do you think that the UCI will rescind me even after I explain my situation? I have already contacted them, but all they said was that they will tell me till they receive my grades.

hey stubborntaurus,

in my opinion, i do not think that you're grades are low enough to get you rescinded. They do require that students contact them if they get a D, but your GPA is high enough to where I would think they would let that D slide. Plus, your schedule is pretty rigorous, so I definitely think you're fine. As long as you let them know the reasons behind the D, i think you're good to go!

I tried contacting them but they would never answer my call… :[ I have the same situation as well. :[
