<p>Do you guys think that UCR will become more recognized among the other UC’s with the making of the new medical school? Would it become coparable to other schools such as UCSB or Davis?</p>
<p>Okay it will get “more recognized” definitely but the ranking won’t shoot up anytime soon. Maybe after they have their first graduating class so people can give some feedback.</p>
<p>UC Irvine just opened a law school last year and the ranking did not budge at all. Opening new schools does not have any immediate effects.</p>
<p>oh really. but I thought it would t least surpass schools such as UCSC, which are very close in rankings.</p>
<p>It depends how many good medical students would attend UCR medical school and how the faculty team members will be created.</p>
<p>and UCSC and UCR ususally tend to switch places in 20098 or 09 UCR was 89 and SC was 92</p>
