Will UC's accept BYU Independent study credits for a community college student?

Hi everyone,

I failed my Calculus 1 class during the summer at my California community college. I want to make up the class on BYU Independent Study online. I was wondering if UC’s will accept the credits from BYU. Help please!

Does Assist.org list online classes; can you check there? I asked where you were coming from because some BYU classes are listed on UC Doorways for high school students, but not sure about transfers. I am sure you can call and ask!

My understanding is - if you want to replace the grade, you have to re-take the course at the same school. If you re-take it elsewhere, both grades will appear on your transcript and be factored into your transfer GPA.
