Will USC still accept updated SAT scores?

I recently checked and saw that I never sent my updated SAT scores to USC through collegeboard. Although I sent them now, what are the odds USC will still take into considering of my new scores?

They will very likely consider them. You can scan or save and upload unofficial scores in the meantime.

OK, then, what do you think. Son is applying to Viterbi for CS. He took the Math 2 and Physics SAT subject tests. Got 700 on each. Did not send earlier, since the scores weren’t “that good”. Maybe OK for another college, but possibly a negative for Viterbi. (He’s not a standardized-test wiz, much stronger in GPA, ECs, etc. He has two As from Stanford EPGY CS classes, for example.)

So, send the SAT II scores (now, late) or not? Everything I’ve read has said “send if over 700, not if lower” - but they are both exactly 700!!

Somehow I’m thinking that he shouldn’t rock the boat, it might take their attention off the other, more positive points on his application. He has no idea whether it would be a plus or not. Or maybe not even having any (optional) SAT II scores would look worse?

According to USC’s admissions FAQs: We suggest that freshman applicants take all SAT and/or ACT exams by December of their senior year. Although we will accept scores from later sittings, we cannot guarantee that your results will reach us in time to be considered by our admission committee. http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/faq/dates_and_deadlines.html

Sweetbeet: I think your instinct is probably a good one. I can’t see any harm in not submitting optional SATII and submitting scores late that do not add anything special to the file seems unnecessary.
