Will you chance me, please?

I am an international student from Bulgaria and Wellesley is my top choice :)
I need help with assessing my actual chance to get accepted.
I go to an American high school, the best school in the country.

My GPAw is 3.64, my school doesn't rank, but we study like 13 different required subjects plus electives each year, so it's a pretty hard.

I just got my December SAT Reasoning score:
Critical Reading: 730, 97 percentile
Math: 780, 99 %
Writing: 730, 98%

I took Biology E: 770 and Math 1: 740

APs:
Biology:5
Psychology:5

ECs:
Women Soccer Team: 4 years, this year I'm the captain
Computer Graphics Club: 4 years, 3 of them president
Psychology Club: 2 years
Photography Club: 2 years
American Sign Language: 2 years
I started a Film Production Project this year, with a ton of different activities planned.

I organized the first Day of Silence in my school( actually in the country, too).
I've done some other community service work like Special Olympics volunteering.

I am the only one from my class who chose to do a Senior Independent Honors Project. I am doing a documentary about human trafficking in Bulgaria, which is closely related to what I want to study. I want to get a double major in Cinema Studies and Computer Science.

A Wellesley representative came to the school, and I was the only one interested in applying there, so I had a chance to be interviewed. I think it went pretty well, my counselor said that the rep was pretty impressed by my ECs and etc :)

Well, I've probably missed half of my ECs, but anyway, that's the general picture :)

Thank you in advance. I would be really grateful if you could at least give me an estimation of my chances as I'm a little worried because I'm not that strong a writer :)

I’d say you have a really strong chance. Good luck :D

I second Victoria16. Just make sure the essay shows your strong passion and interest in Wellesley.

Do you need financial aid? Wellesley is not need-blind for international students and this could affect your chances.

Your strong scores and ECs suggest you have a good chance of being admitted. While your scores indicate you are academically solid, your 4 years on the Women’s Soccer Team including being captain this year, and your 4 years with the Computer Graphics Club including 3 of them as president, show leadership and discipline, on top of your other activities.

Whether or not the need blind status applies to international students, I do recall Wellesley was very generous with some international students in my class, quite a few years ago. They were outstanding scholars who would not have otherwise been able to afford Wellesley. I believe there is limited aid for international students, thus if you distinguish yourself among all the international applicants, I suspect you will be in a good position to be accepted.

Invest quality time writing your application, and let them know why Wellesley is your first choice. Good luck!

Thank you for the replies  I am applying for aid, though not for full tuition, and I hope that doesn’t prevent me from being accepted.

Btw, I have another question  Do you think it is a good idea to send in a trailer for my Senior Project documentary about human trafficking with my application? I mean that I told the interviewer about the project, and maybe it would be nice to show them what I’ve done so far. I don’t know, and would be interested to hear what you think :)

P.S. Happy New 2010  wish you all the best of luck… and to get accepted into your dream schools (if you’re not already) :)

you have a pretty good chance ^^
my scores were lower than yours (I am an international student) too… and i got in with full aid so good luck to you
