Will you good people chance me?

Hey guys, I am a senior-to-be in a medium sized high school (~1500 kids) in a small town in Wisconsin. My school is public, and not too competitive (sends 3-5 kids to top 30 schools every year). Any chances or suggestions are much appreciated!!

Profile: White, Male, Income $150,000
Majors I'm considering: Public Policy, Environmental Studies, International Studies

Objective:

-GPA: 3.88
-ACT: 33 (34E 30M 36R 32S), single sitting if that means anything
-SAT II's- Chem 770, Lit 740, World History 780 (should I take Math II?)
-8 AP's- Chemistry, Language, World History, British Literature, Calc BC, Physics, US History, Stats (School offers 12, people rarely take more than 5-6, but I know a few people who have taken 8 and 1 girl who took 10)

Extracurriculars/Awards

-Model UN- 3 years (President 2 years)
-Internship working for Representative in the state Assembly- 1 year so far (got to know her pretty well, she loves me, recommendation should be solid)
-Internship on campaign team for said Rep
-Badger Boys State attendee (elected Senator)
-Science Olympiad- 2 years (Materials and Nanoscience Regional Champion)
-Environmental Club- co-founder and president, 1 year
-Science Club- 2 years
-MIT Sea Perch program- this summer/fall
-Community Service- ~200 hours, plus 2 mission trips to Native American reservations
-NHS
-Cross Country- 3 years
-Track- 3 years
-Basketball- 2 years
-Highest Honor Roll every semester

Work Experience:

-Counselor at a science camp for young kids
-Guitar teacher
-Busboy at a Mexican restaurant

I'm also fascinated by 1920's-30's jazz, chess, and sustainable farming. Should I even bother mentioning the sports and lower EC's like science club? I really want my passions for politics and the environment to stand out. Any ideas?

Schools I'm looking at, in no particular order:

UW-Madison
Northwestern, possibly ED
UChicago EA
Macalester
University of Rochester
Brown, possibly ED
American
Bowdoin
Grinnell
Beloit College
UCLA
Georgetown EA
Boston College
Ideas for safeties?

Thanks so much!! Chance me and I'll chance you back!!

bumpity-bump.

UW-Madison - You’ll get in but very good school
Northwestern, possibly ED - slight reach
UChicago EA - reach
Macalester - don’t know enough
University of Rochester - match
Brown, possibly ED - reach
American - safe
Bowdoin - match
Grinnell- don’t know enough
Beloit College- don’t know enough
UCLA - match slightly safe
Georgetown EA - slight reach
Boston College - match

UW-Madison: You should get in here
Northwestern, possibly ED: slight reach/match
UChicago EA: small reach
Macalester: match
University of Rochester: match
Brown, possibly ED: reach
American: safety
Bowdoin: safety
Grinnell: safety
Beloit College: safety
UCLA: match
Georgetown EA: slight reach
Boston College: match

also you should take math 2s. the curve is really nice. 10 wrong is like 750 and it isn’t that hard to get 10 wrong.

UW-Madison- safety
Northwestern, possibly ED - match (ED would definitely help you and give you better chances)
UChicago EA - reach
Macalester - don’t know very well but I think that you would get in based on what I know of it.
University of Rochester - match/safety (I would say more of a safety for you)
Brown, possibly ED - reach
American - safety
Bowdoin - don’t know very well
Grinnell- don’t know very well
Beloit College- don’t know as well but I think you would get in
UCLA - match
Georgetown EA - reach/match (EA should help a bit. This one isn’t guaranteed though)
Boston College - match

Overall I think you have a good shot at most of the colleges you listed. Your ECs are really good, especially for what you want to major in. I would say that you don’t have to take math II since you don’t want to major in engineering. However, it wouldn’t hurt to take it if you have time. I think that Northwestern would be a really good school for you, you could definitely do a mix of all of the things you said you’d possibly major in. They have certificates in addition to majors and minors so that might be something to look into. Good luck!

UW-Madison- low match
Northwestern, possibly ED-high match
UChicago EA-low reach
Macalester-match
University of Rochester-match
Brown, possibly ED-reach
American-safety
Bowdoin-low reach
Grinnell-match
Beloit College-safety
UCLA-match
Georgetown EA-low reach
Boston College-match
Ideas for safeties? UIUC, Michigan, UW-seattle

To all you guys saying UCLA is a match, his GPA will kill his chances. Unless it’s unweighted, in which case disregard my post.

It is indeed unweighted, sorry should have clarified. Also, my school doesn’t rank or do percentiles, but I’m guessing top 10% if not higher

UW-Madison - safety
Northwestern - low reach
UChicago - low reach
Macalester - match
University of Rochester - match
Brown - reach
American - safety
Bowdoin - low reach
Grinnell - match
Beloit College - safety
UCLA - high match?
Georgetown - low reach
Boston College - high match
