willamette, lewis and clark, elon, santa clara or macalester

Just want to hear some outside opinions/voices on which of these colleges would be the best choice. I know it all depends and is my choice but let's just hear some thoughts. Macalester may be the the best but they didn't offer any money so I can't afford that. Thanks!

Can you give us (tuition+ R&B) - (grants+scholarships) = ?
for each, as well as your parents’ budget?

These are all great schools but so so different from each other! Tell us a bit more about you, your major, your interests, likes, etc…

Im thinking about majoring in a science and I’m really into traveling and I would want a more liberal and open college with lots of interesting people

I can only give you one student’s perspective…my D is graduating this May from Lewis & Clark and said, in hindsight, she would not go there for science unless it was environmental…small school that seems to get smaller each year you’re there…

Can you provide net cost information?

willamette would be cheapest, then lewis and clark, with macalester the most expensive with no financial aid. I’d just like to hear what people think about these schools in general :)

My D had a different view of L&C. She loved it there (math major) and developed deep relationships with instructors and other students. And I know a bio student in her class went on directly for her PhD. I don wonder why Mac is on your list if you say you can’t afford it.

Probably Willamette if it is cheaper - to some extent it’s even better than Lewis&Clark. :)
