William and Mary Class of 2015 Decisions

lanegwyn, we think we failed to address your question in our early post today.

If you haven’t received a decision email you should call us at 757-221-4223. We will be able to investigate why you didn’t receive an email and if it’s because your application remained incomplete we can let you know that. If we did receive your transcript in February and in fact completed your application, you would have received an automated email letting you know your application was complete and ready for review. If you didn’t get that email we may not have ever received your transcript so you should contact us ASAP

Checking the mailbox was bittersweet today. Got a waitlist letter from Oberlin, but at least I got that fat packet from William and Mary. Thanks for admitting me and reminding me that all my hard work DID pay off.

Rejected. And I’m feeling okay about it, at least it made my decision that much more simple.

And I’d like to also thank William & Mary for recognizing my newly attained coolness :)

Ideal4PWNage and investor, congrats to you both. And Ideal4PWNage it’s not that your coolness is newfound it’s just highly celebrate here!

lastof3, your student applied only to W&M, not to a particular major so no switching needed. Students do not declare a major until second semester of sophomore year. After that it’s still relatively easy to change majors.

I was waitlisted at W&M and I just want to say that I realllllly want to be accepted off the waitlist. I had my guidance counselor call for me to emphasize my interest. But I would love to come down and meet with a admissions rep if at all possible. I am OOS and I did not get the chance to interview so I would love to meet with an admissions rep so I could demonstrate just how committed I am to getting into this fabulous school. I don’t want to be a pest, but I certainly want to take matters into my own hands. Thoughts, W&M?

so after an awful results day on wednesday (4 rejections), I’m even more positive W&M is the right place for me. I just one problem though – my mom still hasn’t finished sending financial aid info. She’s been rushing to finish, and hired an accountant and everything, but I was just wondering how much a delayed finance report will affect my aid package.
financial aid is the difference from going to W&M and UNC, I’m really hoping this works out so I can live in Williamsburg next year!

Is there a facebook group for accepted students?

[]Weaknesses: Scores and Grades… Considered very good at my school because it’s so competative but could’ve been better.
[li]Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:I was accepted to 7/8 schools I applied for (Vanderbilt, NYU, University of FLorida (Honors), Florida State (Honors), University of Miami) and rejected from Stanford. In all honesty, I’m an oos student so i’m fairly surprised to have been accepted.
[/li]

[/ul]General Comments:
I’m very very very happy to say that I’m officially part of the “Tribe”!
If you want to ask me any questions just PM me (:

I’ve got a waitlist question…
Does anybody know what kind of financial aid students accepted off of the waitlist can expect? Even though W&M is my first choice, I don’t want to stay on the list and take away a chance from someone else unless I would be able to afford it.

ooo0ooo, actually you don’t have to take any risks. The way the waitlist system works is that you still send in a deposit to your school of choice by May 1st that you have been accepted to, and if you get in to a different school off the waitlist, you notify the school that you sent your deposit to and then you lose that deposit. But you’d still get to come to W&M! And I’d assume that yes, you’d still get financial aid.
