William and Mary med school acceptance rate?

What's the percentage of undergrads from w&m that are excepted into medical school? I've heard that its in the 70s, but I haven't been able to find some solid data. Please answer quickly, I've only got a few days to decide to which college I'm going!

Generally our students are accepted into medical school at rates about 15-20% higher than the national average (which is usually in the 40s). If you have questions about pre-med at W&M, contact Dr. Bev Sher, our pre-med advisor. She’s a great resource for students.

I believe I heard that for students with over a 3.0 gpa there is an 83% acceptance rate.

W&M does very very well in med school acceptances.

That said, graduate schools of any type accept individuals, not undergrad schools.

There’s no way that there’s an acceptance rate of 83% with >3.0. You don’t even get that type of acceptance rate with students who have a >3.75. It’s extremely difficult to get into medical school with lower than a 3.5 since the national average of a student accepted to any alloptathic medical school is 3.67.

Anyway, that being said, W&M has some awesome guaranteed acceptance programs with VCU and EVMS.

Here’s the link to the Early Assurance programs and their requirements for EVMS and MCV:

Agree with 10iswarrior, a 3.5 GPA is reaching the lower boundary of acceptable for most medical schools - the lowest median GPA for med school I can find is Universidad Central del Caribe at 3.38 / 3.15 SciGPA.

Realistically, you need a 3.7/3.6 with a 30+ MCAT to get admitted to middle-tier med schools - which is why the Early Assurance is really nice.
