If you genuinely prefer a more liberal-artsy general business major, you might really like Gettysburg’s program Business, Organizations, and Management Major - Management Department - Gettysburg College This combined with the BA in their music conservatory could check all of the boxes for you. It’s a little easier admit than W&M or Richmond - 45% acceptance rate vs. 38% at W&M and 30% at Richmond, but with admitted student stats only slightly lower than Richmond’s - and I think it has a pretty similar vibe. (So I think it fits your request for “colleges with a similar vibe/rigor/prestige” to Richmond and W&M) There’s merit aid potential, and it’s closer to home for you than the others, but still a change of scene from Ohio. Really could be worth a closer look, in addition to your two favorites. For a music performance major, you’ll also want to look at who your faculty mentors would be, and ideally do trial lessons to see who you “click” with.
