I was just wondering, is this one of the LEAST competitive schools when applying to Boston College? It seems as if everyone is applying to the Arts & Science and Management schools.

Also does being a male play in your favor if you apply to the Nursing school? Is your record in math and science viewed heavily?

I'm not sure, but if you're trying to apply to this because you think you'll have more of a chance than applying to A&S you'll probably want to know that you'll have to stay in the Nursing School for the first year.

the thing with the nursing school is that it's really really small, which in turn makes it hard to get into. There are only something like 98 kids this year(I know because my sister is going into it). I think science is very important, seeing that my sister took two science classes last year (anatomy&physics). The school is one of the best available. Good luck!

Since you have to stay in it the first year... Can you transfer into it sophomore year? For example, say I'm in the Management school, can I transfer into the Nursing school?

Yes, but some of the management core classes might not be the same as the nursing core classes, so you could either lose electives or other oppurtunities such as study abroad during later years or it might take you longer to graduate.

This is why it's reccomended that you just apply to the school you'd want to go to.
