For anyone applying in the future, I think interviewing and then going out of your way to connect with your Admissions rep is invaluable. I talked to mine via Zoom and had a really awesome conversation with him that I think helped a LOT.

From what I understand, Wm & Mary has a tradition of sending out postcards ahead of the formal RD decision date to indicate likely admissions for some students - that is the Cypher postcard. It isn’t a formal offer, but an indication that a student will probably be admitted.
