Looking into transferring from a state school into one of these 3 this fall. Will be a junior (psych major) on a pre-med track. 3.8 gpa with research, volunteer, & D1 athletics in the 2 years at current school. Goal is to find a more academically challenging undergrad for best chances to get into a higher tier med school. Looking for strong pre-med advising, solid relationship building with professors, volunteer and research opportunities. Party life doesn’t matter, but want to pick the best place for safety and overall happy campus.
Grade deflation- is this really an issue at any of them? Expect classes to be more challenging at these schools vs current school, but not looking to take a huge gpa hit (thus causing issues getting into med school?).
Concern with Gtown is on campus living for juniors (have serious food allergies and would need exception to live off campus) and safety.
Would love to hear pros and cons. Thank you.
