For those who received early writes, what does the Williams website say? Any updates?

I have no way of checking my mail for some time… :/

I have no way of checking my mail for some time… :/

I didn’t have any updates to my account.

Neither did I. My account still says my application is incomplete. Lol

For the window essay, I wrote about watching my dad wash his favorite car in our front yard after he comes home for his job as a cop, and how seeing that scene is a relief for me.
[] Teacher Recommendation: Pretty sure it was good. It was by one of my writing teachers who knows me inside and out
[] Counselor Rec: Generically good.
[] Additional Rec: Apparently, they didn’t get that one, but the woman I talked to said the committee didn’t need it anyway. Now I know why.

[] Ethnicity: African-American/Black
[] Gender: Female
[] Income Bracket: less than $10,000

Reflection
[li] Strengths: Essays, Rank, GPA, transcripts and teacher recs. Going to a small school has it’s perks. [/li][] Weaknesses: SAT I scores
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:Truthfully, I don’t know. I did the Windows on Williams program, and someone hand wrote on the letter, “It was a pleasure meeting you at the WoW program.” So they may have just remembered me.
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted Loyola University New Orleans, University of Pittsburgh, USC, Wofford. Rejected nowhere (yet).
General Comments:

Just goes to show you it’s not always a number game. Work on those essays until you can’t stand to look at them anymore. Work hard and don’t slip up junior year. Like someone said earlier, hard work pays off. I may not have been the best test taker, or taken the most rigorous science and math courses, but I didn’t let that slow me down one bit. Don’t let 2300+ get you down! Anyway, so happy that I got this!!!

Decisions appear to be online. My son’s account shows that he has been waitlisted.

where are you seeing this talk2mom?..when I check account it reads: “no decision has been made yet”

Could your child have applied early?? My account explicitly states “This regular decision application is in process. No decision has been made yet.”

that is exactly the read we get here collegeguy

yeah. i mean its possible they could come today but i doubt it. and i doubt they would come in waves. the only reason i think today is possible is because williams is pretty small and other small lac’s like bowdoinn and swarthmore mailed decisions out either yesterday or today (as i’ve read on cc). but yeah theres nothing here. good luck lillypod when they do come and hopefully talk2moms son gets a better decision officially.

I just got my decision. Accepted. :)

He applied RD, but he was a Questbridge applicant.

Wow… looks like they are going to be coming out in waves

No, my link is gone now. I called admissions and they said it was a temporary glitch.

a glitch!..are you kidding me?!!
Hope they were able to reassure you that “accepted” was real

I dont know yet but it appears as if I have been waitlisted. Williams has basically told me nothing (no emails) and when i logged into my account I saw that I have been waitlisted. Is this definite?

I checked again and the link disappeared. I really dont know what to think.

^ it seems like they stopped all access to the Admission Status Page, which possibly means the system glitched and they are trying to fix it now? In light of this “glitch”, I wouldn’t get overly concerned especially because it could very well be the wrong decision…but for now it’s hard to discern anything from this situation

its definitely a glitch. when i log in its just a completely blank page.

@Kameron dang, i sure hope that it is an acceptance especially after seeing “acceptance” there for a bit. i hope something like what happened to vassar this year doesn’t happen to williams.

Is it down still? Where did you see it in the first place? When I log in there is just a search box in the upper left hand corner and nothing else…
