What types of people get early writes. I have a 33 and a 4.7. Good ecs. GREAT essays. Chance for an early write?
@xafl134 No one can chance you because we aren’t admissions officers…besides, saying “good ECs” says nothing as we have no idea whether these ECs were done out of passion, whether you incorporated them in essays, etc. You’ll find out if you received early notice short enough anyways so just wait 
Few people get early writes. It is entirely possible that some of you will not receive early writes but still will be admitted to Williams in just a few more weeks. Do not panic if you do not get an early write. You have only a few more weeks to wait.
By the way- some people in my son’s high school received emails from SUNY Binghamton a few days before he did. He was anxious. He did get into Bing, though, right after that… and a week after that, he was admitted to Williams College early decision! Not being among the tippy top applicants to be notified “early” by a college does not mean that you will not get into that college, or even a more selective one!

No early writes will be released today. In fact Williams is no longer sending early writes. Instead decisions are being released Thursday, March 15th. This is coming from the WOW coordinator.
So all decisions will be available March 15?

.No more early writes at all, @MaybeHarvard2022 ? Interesting. I wonder why they shut down that whole aspect of admissions, which seems a useful yield tool. And I also wonder why now, when they did it just last year.
@MisterMicawber Yes it’s rather unusual given they’ve done it for some time now.
I guess the deadline is ‘by April 1’ so they can release anytime before that?

that’s like ALARMINGLY soon. Oof. Glad I have a whole week to gather myself before I have to disappoint my parents.
