Williams College RD 2020

@simbacruz I think that posters asking when decisions will come out are asking if the actual date has been communicated by the college. I don’t think they want to know the static date that most colleges have on their websites, but I may be wrong. In any case, the actual date for Williams has been announced as 3/23. Congratulations on your acceptance!

3/23 what time exactly? Is that known or not?

I received an early write today! I was also accepted to Johns Hopkins! Today has been a great day!

Congrats, @turkishkid ! Very, very different colleges, though…

@turkishkid an early write to Williams? And was it via email?

Well, seeing the competition… my rejection is in the bag. Congrats to those already accepted! For the rest of us, waiting is tough!

Hi guys! I received an early write on the 14th, and as we get closer to D-Day, I wanted to wish everyone the best of luck! You’re all incredibly accomplished individuals who will be an asset to whichever college is lucky enough to have you  I hope to see some of you at Preview Williams

I’m astonished, 1940 combined on my SAT and I got an early write for Williams.
It is possible, everyone, to get in no matter what the circumstance. Good luck in all forms to everyone.

So the actual time they are released will most likely be 7 pm EST on Wednesday, right?

Also, while we wait - let’s help time pass. What did you all write about for your supplement (if you did it?)

@JDBoi78 Yes, I believe that is the time. And I said that I would want Christopher McCandless to be the other student in the tutorial, specifically “Whitman and Dickinson In Context” to discuss different transcendental philosophies, etc. What about you?

@JDBoi78 I wrote a letter to Williams Shakespeare summoning him from the grave to come discuss the philosophical meanings behind his work hahahaha

@ksinke97 That sounds really cool haha

I wrote about wanting to be in a tutorial with Edith Wharton, the author of The Age of Innocence, a social anthropology novel about the Upper East Side of New York City during the Gilded Age of the 1800s - essentially a olden day Gossip Girl. I wrote about the time I spent analyzing the peculiar social structure at my own school, and talked about how Wharton would help me better my skills as an anthropologist @admitmemaybe @ksinke97

I wrote that I wanted for the tutorial Andrew Wiles and he later won the Abel prize 2016 ( the Nobel for Maths)

That sounds awesome!! @JDBoi78 Mine was centered around a precious psychological diagnoses I had done of McCandless and how with that disorder, he could contribute to my literature insight and education in clinical psychology, as well.
@ammoopi Haha awesome!!

@admitmemaybe brought him luck choosing him as my partner lol

Whoa haha everyone’s responses sound so deep…so awesome…I wrote mine on Luna Lovegood… >.>

@admitmemaybe sounds awesome. Everyone’s sound so insightful. @ploof123 nah - I think they definitely appreciate some lighthearted responses.

Hmm… It seems that people mostly chose a concrete subject to discuss with their partner. I focussed on the qualities of debate/discussion in my chosen partner. Now I’m wondering if that was a good decision :-S
