marita89: congrats. Did you receive your decision by mail or by email? If email, when did you get it?

Just got letter today in Canada (I think that counts as international). Postmarked Mar 28.

Rejected. No email yet, though...

Dr. Avrah:
The email I received from Ms Parkinson says that there were over 7500 applications and only 1200 students were admitted.
Thats around 16 percent of admission rate.
No mention of international students; I'm an international too so i guess you will be receiving yours soon. Good Luck!!!

Thanks marita. 16%, I think that's higher than the rate at any other college I applied to. That just must be a good sign :)

I just came up with the theory that only the accepted applicants got an email; did any international get an email saying (s)he is rejected?

*Decision: ACCEPTED..woohooo!! *

I don't think it would be this way. Even though CC represents only a fraction of applicants, the best and the most initiated are likely to be browsing its hundreds of boards. And among so many really good applicants, so far only 2 internationals have got their emails. I believe they are emailing in batches, much in the same way they sent their accepatance mails in certain waves.

Well..I tried to speak a word or two of comfort..seem to have utterly failed.

Congrats again bocca!!

"Batches" theory is correct... when you received your acceptance I was still in the dark.

In my email there is nothing about number of applications or acceptances, hmm.

Good luck!

Has anyone else still not heard anything yet?

Congratulations to those who got accepted!
I'm currently a high school junior awaiting September (or earlier) to start my Williams application for early decision!
Downside is, I'm only average (or maybe below, I have a 3.3 GPA UW and I'm guessing my SAT scores will end up being a little under 2000), but my school is offering me 2 college courses at Boston University next year to take Calculus MultiVariable, and Asian Studies. My course load will be the greatest in the history of my school. My school runs for 10 hours, 1st period starts at 8:20 AM and the last period ends at 5:00PM, leaving me with barely anytime for extracurriculars. Overall, I'm very excited, but still anticipating rejection. D; Good luck to all who were accepted!

am i the only international who hasn't heard yet? My friend (same school) just got his email saying he's been accepted... i know i'm not supposed to jump to any conclusions, but i sure hope the timing difference doesn't mean whether you've been accepted or not...

a friend of mine who applied to Williams called their office and they said that emails will be send by this Friday for Internationals... He wasn't very clear, so I am not sure if he meant that all internationals will get the email by Friday or only us Pakistanis....

I havent heard yet, either..still waiting.. seems they are sending decisions in batches
Congrats to all who got in and Good Luck to all those who are waiting :D

neither here...fine..I can wait..as I dont have any hope

Waitlisted. Got the letter today, international.

The email finally arrived. Rejection. Woo-hoo, life's dandy.

So has everyone heard back? I still haven't gotten anything in the mail...

Decision: ACCEPTED
