<p>Kim 7564 looks like you got off waitlist for both Amherst and Williams. Congrats. Which way are you leaning. D is on waitlist at amherst so selfishly rooting for you to pick Williams. :)</p>
<p>Yeah, it’s crazy, but I got off the waitlist for Amherst on Tuesday, and got off the Williams list yesterday. </p>
<p>I received a call from my Williams admission officer. Then, she sent me an attachment with the official acceptance letter. </p>
<p>Honestly, the two colleges are extremely similar; however, I’m slightly leaning more towards Amherst. I am feeling less confident about living in an isolated area in the mountains for four years. I would like to be outside the “Purple bubble” sometimes, and I think that would be very hard at Williams. I also love the access to other institutions through the Five College Consortium at Amherst. </p>
<p>So, yes, RBRoden, I think I will ultimately have to choose Amherst. </p>
<p>I did a lot of stuff to get off these waitlists from sending numerous e-mails, phone calls, visits. I think being tenacious and diligent is the only way to get off this list.</p>
