I am a '13 and am now remembering what a rough time I had figuring out what to write for my Common App and college interest essays. I remember thinking I had NO idea what I was doing, and that everyone else knew something I didn't.

To all you '14ers...I am willing to share some paragraphs from my Common App essay, and a few sentences from each of my college interest essays, in the hopes that it will somewhat point you on the right track and give you a general idea of something that worked for me.

In case you were wondering, these essays were part of apps that got me into Cornell (research fellowship), Dartmouth, Rice (merit scholarship, research fellowship, 8-year med program with Baylor Med), Vanderbilt, Middlebury, and Tulane (merit scholarship). I was waitlisted at Brown and Duke.

Please PM me if you would like to see any of these essays. I would sincerely hope that none of you take advantage of this in an unfair way, because I am only trying to help, and I know that this is an incredibly stressful time. I wish you all the best of luck with your apps =)
