I
m interested in science, hockey and football. Don
t want a pressure cooker type school. Is this a good one to consider if my ssats are mid 80s?

haha, it’s williston northampton**

and their average SSAT percentile tends to be (from what i’ve heard) low 60s, so i think their academics might not be challenging enough for you… eh. look into loomis, their average SSAT is like, in the low 80s, which i think would result in a better fit academically for you.
just my two cents good luck!

their academics actually are very challenging.

but yes northampton is one word :)

i applied to williston last yr. they have good food, everyone [for the most part] is very nice and happy, good sports[ football=GOOD], def. not a pressure cooker, v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v. good arts, not sure abt science but not an art centred school. Wonderful area- right next to northampton in the midst of the 5 college area.

highly recommended ;)

@Rad, you applied, which school did you end up going to? If not WNH, why?

*its not really referred to as WNH, just usually as Willis ton.

I got into NMH [Northfield Mount Hermon], but w/ no fin. aid. and w/l at Williston b/c [speculation] my first term grades were atrocious and i think they think i applied there as a safety. [which i did, initially, but expressed in interview how i preffered it over more prestigious schools [ie-exeter]]

@Rad, so I assume you`re going to be in the application pool again this yr. Do you have to reinterview w/ the schools you saw last yr. or are you applying elsewhere?

Yeah, if you apply again you have reinterview.

I’m not sure if I will apply there again next year. BUt you do have to go thru the entire process again.
