Winter 08 or Spring 08 Transfer.. Good enough?

I recently graduated class of '07.. currently go to a community college in the state of Washington. Just began.

In high school I have have a 3.1 GPA but failed Pre-Calculus my second semester Senior year of high school.

1630 SAT Score.

Age: 18
Ethnicity: Filipino
Major: Finance or Investment Banking

I want to get out of here really bad.. I am suppose to hear back from Washington State University in the Spring because I applied late.. and my high school counselor said she would send in a counselor recommendation.

However, I would much rather go to Western Washington University or the University of Washington-Seattle or possibly some out of state school.

I definitely stepped it up this time around in terms of Extra Curricular activities however.

-Intern at a Financial services firm.. Have steady job until I decide to leave.
-CUTCO Sales representative. $5000 dollars in total sales in one month. considered Advanced Sales rep. Promoted twice already.

Just to show the statistics of the schools I want to transfer to..

Western seems attainable. University of Washington is definitely a reach. However.. With all this being said is it possible to even transfer with the situation I am in?

When I mean transfer I mean transferring after a quarter (winter 08) or a semester (spring 08)??

if your end result is investment banking, you will NOT enter the field from the schools you listed. If banking is your goal do well at your cc and retake the SAT's, then transfer to a school with a better reputation.

what about fianance.. or accounting? I took two years of accounting in high school.

haha its not that classes you are taking it is the school you are taking them at!
If you want to get into banking... do transfer to that schools you have listed... loook towards "possibly some out of state schools." like you said. Maybe Mich, UvA, Cal, ucla, ut austin

ok well back to what im trying to ask can i get into those colleges with my stats as i presented above?

Hi Markus,
I'm a parent member (my son is a hs senior) and I'm also Director of Academic Programs for Cutco. Congratulations on your recent promotions! This experience should help you reach your goals, in fact, I could arrange for you to talk with some former reps who are currently in finance and financial planning. Please feel free to email me directly at sarahba@cutco.com and I'd be happy to talk to you

can anyone help answer my question?

eh, it'll be a bit hard. Your SAT is a bit low, and only one semester might not be enough for those other schools OOS schools that give you a chance at I banking and Finance.

For you, I might recommend taking the core classes at where you are now, and maybe go a year and a half or 2 years

If you do get 4.0's your first semester, and on your way to 4.0 your second semester, you could try for some of the OOS schools, but I think it could be a slight reach depending on where you try for

what if i just retake the SAT? i mean seriously.. im not gonna lie I just wanna get the hell out of this town.. any other alternatives? and is it THAT much of a reach? I mean i can get recommendations from teachers, counselers.. and my EC's over the summer seem somewhat respectable

Im not really to concern about the OOS schools.. Mostly just western washington university

help..?????
