Yes, it looks like all of the campuses accept winter transfers except Cal, Merced and UCLA. I strongly recommend doing TAG agreements with the campuses you are interested in to cover yourself. As always, meet with the Uni reps in the transfer center at your school and be sure to keep checking back for any changes:

thanks man, ive seen that. ive just heard this year, some of the campuses that usually take winter transfers may not, so i was checking if somebody else knew. i guess ill wait until the open/closed majors list is out

I work in the transfer center @ my CCC and we have not received word that any of the UCs that normally open for winter are planning to close for winter 2010. I can ask the transfer counselors on Tues when I work and PM you if they have any new info.

I would appreciate if you could do that kc_sunshine because the only way I could transfer for this fall would be if the campuses i was admitted to allowed me to finish IGETC this summer… and I really don’t want to spend a whole year at my CC.

Instead of PM’ing me, can you just post it on this thread so that way anybody who needs the information can see it?

Thanks

Sure, I’ll post it as soon as I speak to them. I may even have an answer on Monday b/c I have to go in and talk to them about something else. What school are you interested in? I may even be able to provide a ph# for our contact at that particular campus.

I’m looking mainly at UC Davis, Irvine, and Santa Barbara for business economics/economics. I think I already saw the UCSD is open for Winter and Spring for those who have TAG. But I could not find anything on the other three for winter.

Ok, I have a contact at both UCI and UCSB. I will get back to you on Monday.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
If you don’t mind me asking, what CC are you at? The transfer center at my CC is not nearly as helpful.

I just sent you a PM.

How different is it to transfer in Winter? I’d like to go to UCI or UCSD. Is it hard finding an apt?

if any of you guys know whether uci is accepting applications for this winter or not please let me know.

I was also wondering the same thing as jebz as to whether finding housing is tough.

Uhm UCSD is offering a winter 2010 transfer. But only if you are TAG certified. But it is open to any CCC.

i am able to do TAG but i don’t know whether is uci is accepting winter apps this time around because whenever i asked them during the whole semester they said the don’t know coz of the budget. just confused

kc sunshine, can you tell the folks at home what your UCI and UCSB contacts said in regards to winter transfers?

kc sunshine, did you happen to find out about any of the campuses?

thanks

hay kc sunshine, i am curious to know about the uc’s admissions as well, please let us know
thank you

BUMP
