I wanted to go to december one but my schedule is really not letting me… i have finals right after that weekend and i have class all throughout still… so let me know when everyone else is going! hope to see some ppl there =)

anthony - unfortunately, I am transferring in as a 3rd year, but I will probably have an expected graduation date of june 14’… 15’ if I happened to get in ross.
what kinda recruiting are you looking for? banking? cause I hear 3.7 LSA is competitive enough and I dont think an extra year itself is worth going to ross

@collegeAC, yeah probably not worth it for you. I’m looking to do both accounting and finance if possible. That’s why 3 years is probably ok for me because it’ll allow me enough time to get both done.

@Corey, congrats bro! MSU’s little brother anyways, they lose the elite students and athletes from the state to Michigan.

I’m stuck with the 12/19 orientation, I have 3 finals on the 17th which really sucks. I’m gonna try to get them all moved to the 15th and before but I doubt I’ll be able to do that, because of my Bio professor, who’s a biotch. Probably won’t have any classes left by the time I register.

still better than me… im stuck with the january orientation because nyu ends literally that week of orientation in december… my finals are mon and tues 12/21 12/22 this is going to suck when registering…

did everyone already submit their deposits?

thanks everyone! i submitted my deposit yesterday so I should be able to start picking orientation dates and dorm options soon. I wonder if we can choose someone from our orientation…? Either way, im excited to be a wolverine!

I get that question alot… haha to be honest its because i always imagined myself in a big sporty high spirited school… My brother went to umich and i’ve been literally rocking the blue and yellow colors since i was eight. (hes ten yrs older than me). However I chose NYU my senior year of hs because they gave me the most aid. ( I’m a New Yorker) I love the city but I hate the school. Ive hated NYU since I was in 5th grade… but the financial burden of going to other schools for my single parent mother was too much. I’ve always pictured myself in the crowds of a football game or just throwing a frisbee on a big lawn. Unfortunately NYU doesn’t provide that kind of college life. There is no campus, and it is really hard to meet people outside of your classes. Plus I’m a commuter, so I didnt even get a chance to experience dorming. I just needed a change of pace. NYU kids aren’t very open or friendly, and there isn’t many places you can just meet new people and just chill like in house parties in other schools. When I visited umich over Halloween break I made more friends that weekend than the two years I was at NYU… well then again I didn’t really put much effort in getting to know people at NYU. But nonetheless I’m happy to be going to umich and i hope to see you all there =D

Just wondering, anyone know if there will be snow during orientation around Dec 14-16? Should I get a pair of boots or will tennis shoes be fine? Not too familiar with weather coming from Cali

@collegeAC, I think you’ll be fine in tennis shoes, unless something strange happens, there should be little to no snow around that time. We haven’t had a white Christmas in Ann Arbor, if I remember correctly, since 07. Still you are going to Michigan so there could be a foot of snow on the ground by that time, but you could also have rain.

Hey everyone, just curious… is everyone dorming on campus through umich? I’ve been looking around for other places hoping to reduce and was wondering if others were doing the same.

Hello,
I was accepted back in october as a winter transfer student…what do you guys think the housing situation is going to be for us? I’m a little worried because I hear there isn’t much room on central campus…
