I think that is University of Rochester.
The admissions are rolling so I don’t know. September 22 is not too late.

I really hope that I can receive my result as soon as possible so that I can settle down and focus on the next step

Are there dorms specifically for transfers?

@owl thats good. im applying to uni of Rochester. which university are u studying at now?

@d4wnzz: U-M and UVA, and women colleges again. Actually I am hoping to transfer to U-M this time now, I hope to try life in a more diverse environment in a univ. rather than liberal arts this time. But since UVA admitted spring transfer only a super limiting students, I would regard U-M as my target.

Actually the acceptance to UNC last semester just reminded me to have a broader eyes to undergraduate in bigger university. But as I kind of woke up, it’s late to catch UNC back, so I now try U-M which has much resources in the area I am fond of than in UNC. Hope this time U-M could work.

Besides, could I know do you guys care about general ranking of each school? I remember UNC was ranked 29th last time but USNEWS '13 becomes 30th while U-M turned to be 29th. I know the changes are very small, I just wonder if the admission rigor compared with U-M and UNC are comparetively the same?

Michigan, purely by department, ranks very high though. There is a thread on here somewhere, Michigan is like top 15 in most departments.

Thanks. I hope I could be the earlier pool being notified.

I hope to check the previous year’s cc in UMich but I could not find it. Can anyone help me?

Look at albo23’s first post. It has the GPA for each acceptances.

Is it possible to receive the email from U-M around mid-Oct right after fall break?

I’m not sure.
Where are you guys planning to live? Like what dorms?

I hope to live in campus directly. Which one not sure.

I’d like to dorm my first semester then move into apartments afterwards with some friends I have there.

Basically, after you get accepted, change your prayers to staying away from the Northwood Apartments and maybe even North campus. Central campus is the most pleasant experience.

@Albo23: But will you be able to select the central campus based on your willing?

@albo23 is there like a place where most transfers gather?

You can select Central campus, but so does everyone else.

There are groups and clubs for transfer students where you can meet up and such.

Is there any advantages of applying earlier? Since late applicants can even receive result during mid-Oct, how about people who applied even earlier?

We really don’t know. Some would say yes because we are supposed to get decisions first and presumably fill the open spots first… But we have proof that even if you apply late, you can get a decision before others, who applied before you, get theirs.

What a messy process…Thank you. Anyway Best Wishes to Everyone!
