Winter 2013 Transfer Thread

So I gave my specific admissions counselor a call today, and her voicemail says that she isn’t going to be in the office until October 22. Do you guys think that will affect me getting a decision this week? That would be about 10 weeks of processing if it is the case.

Ah **** that doesn’t sound good. I can’t tell you how that would affect you. She could have already reviewed it? I also gave my admissions counselor a call today and it just said she wasn’t in.

@megagamerexe Wait does that mean she is on holiday? Or she is still making decisions but just not in her office.

@albo23 So the young man got there 4 a.m.His all ready to rock and roll - got on a suit - should have worn shorts. The guru said “how bad do you want to be successful” “real bad” “Walk out on into the water.”

Does it mean we have to wait until late Oct to receive the result? That’s so far away

I just called the regular admissions number. After talking to them for a bit, they told me that there are a lot of people whose applications have had decisions made for them and that the admissions staff (even if they are not in the office), had to get through applications and make decisions. However, they aren’t sending decisions off until next week. The lady said expect to see something after Tuesday, so no point in checking WA this weekend everybody. Enjoy the weekend, and try not to think to much about the decisions. They are right around the corner!

@megagamerexe Thanks man. You should really watch “How Bad Do You Want It” on YouTube so we can quote the whole things here.

Thanks! For the decision do we just wait for checking email from U-M?

Yeah. The emails should be starting sometime next week. I just don’t think you’ll be getting one next week dreamingowl. That’s only because you applied later than myself, albo, d4wnzzz, and matisyahu. If they truly have rolling admissions, then you should be later than us. However, with U of M, you never know. You might be the first one to receive a decision. lol

@Matisyahu - So he walks on out into the water, waist deep. So, to himself, he’s like, “This guy is crazy” He’s thinkin’, “I wanna make money, he’s got me out here swimming. I don’t want to be a life guard, I want to make money.”

@megagamerexe - Thanks for that call, very informative. I chatted with them today and they said that decisions are rolling, something they say every time but I just don’t believe them. I look forward to next weekend with a decision in hand.

@megagamerexe: Thanks very much for letting me know.

Good Luck to Everyone!!

@albo23 So he said “come out a little further.” Walked out a little further, then he had him right around this area - the shoulder area. He said “this old man crazy. He making money but he crazy.” Said “come on out a little further.” Right out his mouth. My man like “I’m about to go back in, this guy out of his mind.” But the old man said “I thought you said you wanted to be successful.” He said “I do.” He said “walk a little further.” He came, dropped his head in, held him down, holding him down, my man getting stratchy, holding him down, he had him held down.

What the hell are you guys talking about? Anyway I transferred Fall 2012 and I’m loving it so far, good luck guys!

Haha I am also wondering what you guys are talking about.

I am on fall break now. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Sometimes I feel after my full efforts in order to achieve my goal, the final judge out of my hand is determined by fate, or God, or Buddha, or luck.

Did you guys watch it?

it is so inspirational.

@d4wnzz yeah XD.

Yes I think so too!!

I checked some of the records last year on line, many students received results actually in ending Oct.

dreamingowl.

I just applied here and submitted my application on the day it was due. I am a student at Michigan State and am a freshman with only 12 college credits due to AP tests. I had a 3.7 in high school, a 30 on my ACT, many varsity sports, choir presidents, a capella groups, worked as a teller in a bank for work experience, and was academic all state in golf this spring just to name a few things. I have a letter of recommendation coming from a professor and my friend’s dad who is highly connected to U of M. Do I even have a chance of getting in or not? I am currently in line for a 4.0 first semester gpa as well.
