@trumboma: Thanks for asking me. Although I am a junior member in CC, I am new here in just two weeks after application. I cannot predict the chance of getting in myself actually. But I think your chance should be promising.

@Albo23: Would you mind taking a look at trumboma’s post above?

@trumboma - Unfortunately you may not have excellent chances. The biggest factor in a transfer application is the amount of credits you have. In fact, after looking at some of my statistics, it is weighted more than your GPA. Right now you zero college experience in UofM’s mind, those AP credits were not from a college course. Therefore, UofM has no substance to base a decision off of except from your high school resume.
Now that that is cleared up, ask yourself this: Can I get into UofM as a freshmen with a 3.7 GPA and 30 ACT? That is the question the admissions office will ask themselves when they examine your application.

@trumboma - I’m also a student at Michigan State, so I definitely understand you wanting to transfer. lol. In all seriousness though, from all the information that I’ve learned over these past couple of months, it seems that the amount of college credits earned (from a university) along with a high GPA, are the key to an acceptance. I’m a sophomore now, and I will have 43 credits after this semester. From all that I’ve learned, winter semester of sophomore year is the earliest time that most people are accepted. If you don’t get accepted this time, I would take all prerequisites at MSU that will transfer to U of M. For instance, I’m not very math-science oriented, so I’m currently taking all the science courses that I’ll need at U of M right now. I’m making sure that when I transfer, I’ll be able to take almost exclusively classes required for my major. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck, and I hope that you get in! :)

Hey guys, I called U-M today and they told me that I should also provide my 2012 fall semester’s transcript. But we won’t be able to provide this until mid Dec. However we do will receive our admission results maybe around mid-Oct. to early Nov. before our final right? I am confused about this.

Could anyone help me with my questions above? U-M told me that I still have to submit my 2012 fall semester’s transcript, but this should be after I receive the admission if it was a positive one right? I mean all of us do not have our 2012 fall transcript available yet until mid-December.

I called them but she said I still have to submit my high school graduate certificate while I already sent them early September. I have to ask my high school to sent it to them again through express this week. It’s weird since Sep.21 st when I finished everything and call them to make sure, at that time the man said: " Yep, you are in a good shape."

@Dreamingowl they may not have processed it yet. You applied mid-September right? It takes about 2 weeks they said you make sure everything is processed.

@Matisyahu: I finished on Sep21st. This is my third week now actually. Last week (which is second) they told me I am done, but today they said they donot have my high school graduate certificate. Well I would send it tomorrow by express. They said they did not have my summer school transcript neither. I have to make sure they receive everything this week.
