Haven't noticed a thread for Winter '14 transfer applicants so I thought I would go ahead and do the honors. Post in here, talk about your stats, your application, and bring up any worries about the admissions process and I, and many others, will be glad to help you out.

My Stats:
College GPA: 3.84
Incoming Credits: 55
- 3.84 through 31 credits at Washtenaw CC (24 are pending this Fall)
ACT: 33
HS GPA: 3.5
Notes:
- In-state student
- Second time applying for admission
- Working while taking 22 credits in the last winter, 9 in the summer, and 24 this fall

Here is a useful chart that was posted in last year's transfer thread. It gives you a good idea for how successful you may be in admissions.

I submitted my application. 3.75 GPA from MSU with 68 credits (17 pending) Plan on majoring in pure math and information sciences. Have you guys gotten login info for wolverine access? Still waiting for that email so I can see if my transcript was received and what not. Those results are concerning, I’ve taken 300-400 level classes my freshman year and a graduate course this year so I hope they look at rigor.

I am just wondering when you guys talk about the credits you have are they semester, quarter, or trimester credits? I am asking because doesn’t Umich only take 60 semester credits? Also do any of you know if not applying for financial aid is an advantage?

They do only accept 60 (62 if you have an associate?). I just have a lot of credits from community college while in high school and AP so I came in a semester ahead.

I’m not sure if I can speak for everyone about the credits we have, but mine are semester-based. uofm prefers 45-60 semester-based credits, not quarters or trimesters.

I am worried since the Academy is so different from most other places and they dont give + or - grades, just straight A,B,C, or D. Also the rigor is the highest of anywhere I have heard of. Please let me know of my chances for transfer in winter!

No offense, but how in the hell is that link to the transferspreadsheet useful? It contains a minor subset(50) of a super set of (4600). That’s less than 1% of the entire sample size.

To clarify: the sum of students who applied for Winter transfer of 2010 and 2010 was 4600. You only have the results of 55 of those students.

That data was derived from students who had reported to be accepted on that year’s thread. Sorry that the stats for all 4600 applicants weren’t available.

have any of yall been sending in your application material? I just finished up essay #1 and #2 and i sent in my common app today so now im just playing the waiting game. If any of yall need proof reading on the essays PM me.
