Winter 2015 Transfer Thread

Oh I see. Well then here’s to many more mornings waking up and hitting the email in a frenzy haha

just 3 more weeks till november, let’s hope we can survive playing the waiting game

hey all!

Gap year applicant here. I’m wondering if there are any other first-year applicants that applied for Winter-Term 2015 (non-transfers)?

good luck to everyone

ACCEPTED!!! HOLY CRAP MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!!

GPA: 3.625
Currently at MSU College of Engineering. Will have 55 transferable credits at end of semester (6 AP)
HS GPA: 3.8 weighted, not sure what it was weighted. Was originally deferred->waitlisted->denied for freshmen admission.

I guess what I said earlier about definite accepts were wrong since i clearly dont have the highest GPA compared to others who have posted here…

Awesome congrats!!! How did you find out email or WA?

Congrats @Maragidyne‌!!! When did you submit your application?

Submitted on 9/4/14, and found out in wolverine access, they said id get my acceptance letter by email/mail soon

Okay, thanks for the info! I’m glad you got in! I submitted mine on 9/8 and I’ve been checking everyday. I hope I will find out soon :)

Haha more like check it multiple times a day. From what I gather looking at the last couple of years decisions are usually on WA first and they get updated late at night.

Chance me please?
I am currently a sophomore at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
This is my third time applying to Ann Arbor. I want to be in Ann Arbor beginning 2015.

College GPA = 3.84/4.0
I came from international academy (#1 School in the State. #2 In the country at one point.)
High School GPA = around 3.5 not sure.
I currently have 29 credits completed at dearborn and after this semester I will have 42.
I currently Intern Full time and attend College full time (So i was not able to take more than 13 credits this semester.)
Act: 29

What are my chances?

I received an email this morning stating that I would need to complete the mid-term report on the common app before a decision is made on my application, has anyone else received this?

umichfan18, when did you submit your app? I haven’t received an email like that but then again i submitted the common app on 9/28 and they received the rest of my materials on 10/3

I submitted my app 9/28 as well with all materials received 9/28. I’m not sure if this is a good or a bad sign as I’ve never read about the admissions office asking for the midterm report in any other thread

For all the students who applied to the college of engineering, wait patiently till mid November, because decisions will only be released after mid November. Anyone here who applied to coe?

Been about 10 days since anyone else has received a decision. Tis lame. @umichfan18‌ I did not receive that email, but had already submitted my mid term report in the beginning of October. I was told by the admissions it makes you more competitive. Looking at past forums we might be waiting for up to another 3 weeks.

I was accepted today 10/22/14!

I checked WA on 10/21/14 at 3:30pm and had no “View Decision” link. This morning at 9:56am I received my acceptance email. I also received my acceptance in the mail today, too. The mail was time stamped 10/21/14. The “View Decision” link on WA was available when I checked it today.

I’m in-state, from Livonia, and submitted the common app on 09/26/14 (not 09/28/14). My application was fully complete on 10/03/14 (I forgot to send my high school transcript).

Good luck to everyone out there!

Congrats !
By the way, may I ask your major? My application was completed(not submitted) on 09/22/14, and applied for the engineering major, but still no response from the admission team…

@ray7umd , was the information officially announced? or just a rumor ? I applied to coe as well.

@transferrrr Just from experience, in the past the CoE has released decisions way past when regular decisions go out. Just makes the waiting all the worse :frowning:

Congrats mkguam!
