Winter 2015 Transfer

@thach47‌ Thanks!
I hope the administration would concentrate more on other majors…what is your GPA? Are you still waiting?

@Yakisaka‌ Yup… 3.02 GPA waiting on manufacturing engineering/engineering technologies. You?

I’ve been waiting for a response as well. I just check this morning and it still says application received. I have a 3.02 and my major is electronic and computer engineering technology.

Seems like no one got an acceptance yet for engineering @thach47‌ @myko81‌

@thach47‌ My major is hospitality and 3.2 GPA

Hi guys, I, along with many other people, have yet to see any change in my enrollment status. My major is Business Adm. With Concentration in CIS. It’s kind of upsetting seeing others with the same major and lower GPA than me getting in. I am almost giving up hope lol :(

Also, did anyone apply to Cal State LA? My application went from admitted to incomplete :frowning: It saids I have a hold in admissions and the reason for it is “Admission Eligibility Verif” Not exactly sure what that means, but things are not looking good for me.

It’s okay @Albert2210‌, my status hasn’t changed either!! And since I got denied for Fall quarter this year, I’m worried I am going to be 2 for 2 for getting denied. Maybe third time is the charm

@Hbkelly‌ I also applied for fall but my major was impacted so I sort of knew I was not going to get in. But I changed my major and hoped winter was easier to get in, but things are not looking good lol. BTW did you apply to Cal State LA?

Yes I did, got provisionally admitted and paid the ECD, although i don’t know my log in so have been neglecting to check status or move forward. Guess I am holding out somewhat for Pomona still. Is orientation required for transfer students? @Albert2210‌

@Hbkelly‌ I’m not sure, I haven’t seen any information about orientation. I’m going to call them later on today to ask them a couple of questions. And yah CPP was #1 school but as the days go by the less optimistic I become.

Well, we might just end up at LA for winter, and summer, and apply next month for Fall quarter at Pomona.

@Hbkelly‌ yah that’s what I was thinking. A counselor told me it was harder to transfer from a university to a different university than community college to a university. Not sure how much truth is to that though.

A counselor at your community college or a counselor at a cal state? I sure hope that isn’t true! @albert2210

@Hbkelly‌ At my Community College. That’s why I didn’t pay too much attention to it, because maybe they just want me to stay there longer. But who knows.

It seems like no one got accepted after 10/7 in this thread, and it is 10/16 already… :frowning:

@Albert2210‌ Did you call to admission yesterday? Anything they said?

Quick Update: I’m not exactly sure when it showed up since I wasn’t looking for it in this section.
under Student Center > to the right under the Holds section, Orientation Services shows.
clicking on Details takes you to the item list > under Hold Item, click on Orientation Services …
under the Instructions section, it says " This hold will be removed upon completion of your orientation program and prior to registering for classes during orientation. "

I was getting a little worried for a moment.

@Yakisaka‌ I know, I thought for sure people would report that they got admitted this week and no one has reported yet, ugh

Quick question to check on how CPP treats student accounts via emails, and whether it depends on status or not: Did anyone get email correspondence from CPP groups. I received 3: 1 from the Finance Society, 1 from Nicole Ige, and a Safety Alert.

Seems kind of spammy to me, but just wanted to see if CPP sends out as one massive email distribution, including in-process applicants that have CPP email addresses.
