Winter 2017 Transfer Thread

@uwtransferguy2017 I don’t think that’s fair. We have to make other plans just in case we don’t get accepted, and that’s not being taken into consideration. Plus, housing availability is probably decreasing as we speak :frowning:

People started hearing their acceptances around the 5th of November for the last 2 years, and it’s already the 10th here :<

@hoping4uw0323 I will have 70 credits after this quarter. I already registered for my winter quarter at my CC just in case I don’t get in I will still have a spot in the classes I need to get my AA. I would like to hear back soon because I need to apply to other schools for their fall quarter just in case.

I would have figured one of us would have at least heard back from the UW by now

I hope to hear from anyone that gets notified by the UW of their admission decision soon.

I’m also a Winter Quarter 2017 transfer applicant. Here are my stats.

In-State Community College - 3.6 Transfer GPA
Total Quarter Credits - 70

This is so annoying. I have to register for classes next week and pay tuition shorty afterwards I cant wait till december. Ugh

If they are not done with all applications then they should atleast release the decisions for ones that are done. They were done with mine weeks ago wtf

Yeah… Hopefully tomorrow will be different…

I dont know if tomorrow will be any different cause it’ll be veterans day. Im so surprised that they really pushed it this year when previous years they were notified so early compared to this.

Oh yeah… Well damn. The past 3 have been the first week of November, this is pretty late :frowning: I also have a deadline to register for classes and such…

:frowning: i also have another college that i was supposed to confirm my admission already a week ago and i dont know how long more i can wait before its too late

@Aharris1105 I applied to UW and WSU and got into the latter so far. I put down my deposit for the school just in case, but planned to pull out of it if I got accepted into UW since that’s my first choice.

I’m going to give it until the end of next week, and if I don’t hear or see anything, then I’m going to either email them or call them and ask because they really aren’t considering what else we may have to do to prepare for rejection or getting accepted.

did they just leave us hanging for another 3 days??? btw does anyones application on myuw show that your transcripts were received? cause mine doesnt say that… only has “official test scores”

yep here’s to another three days of waiting. This is ridiculous

I’m hoping we hear something by the end of next week. This waiting is killing me

I am seeing a lot of new people posting about winter 2017. I really hope we start hearing back on Monday.

I find it frustrating to not know the decision right now, but I can only imagine how it must feel for people who must make the decision between other colleges and not hearing back from UW.

@uwtransferguy2017 yeah I understand. I’ve already got my backup plan on motion. So I do feel bad for those that need to make a decision now or are continuing CC for their AA and need to pay for the winter tuition if they don’t get into the UW.

Hi,
I’m new to this forum.
My stats,
GPA: 3.95
In state community college
intended major: molecular, cellular and developmental biology. (I haven’t applied to this major yet. I’m a sophomore so I want to take at least one more quarter just to be sure.)
I am done with all the prereqs for my major.
I had 81 credits when I applied. I will have 98 by the end of this quarter.
I wrote a pretty decent essay.

@UW2017 To me everything looks good. I think you have a good chance of getting in. I’m guessing you applied for general admission? The University of Washington only counts the number of credits you have when you sent them your transcript. Last January I made the mistake of applying for the autumn 2016 quarter and I thought they would count my winter and spring credits from my CC but they only counted how many credits I had when sending my transcript.
