I am dying to know if I got in or not I’m literally going crazy and about to drive myself to a mental health institution from such high anxiety lol
@bri0717 Don’t stress yourself. I know they release decisions in waves so if you don’t find out tonnight, you’ll find out next week. Good luck
@bri0717
Go to myuw.washington.edu. On the front page in the middle, there’s a link that says Transfer application: winter quarter 2017. Click that!
Mine still hasn’t updated
Another weekend of waiting…
@UWwinter2017 Yes,I applied as WA resident on the application. Also my father as well, because he is still registered to vote in WA/ I Hopefully I will get in and receive in-state status.
still waiting… i cant help but think that i have been rejected . this will be a very sad thanksgiving
Hey don’t stress out, I still havent heard from them yet too. My transcript hasnt loaded and my application status wasnt updated either. I’m pretty sure we will hear from them by Monday. When I called them a couple days ago they told me exactly this, “we will release decisions by end of this week and early next week.” Hopefully, you and I won’t get rejected. If you’re doing really well in college and if you have a good amount or credits, and most importantly, did a lot of improvement since highschool then I honestly don’t understand why they would reject you.
@Girlygirl256 I hope you’re right. I have a good GPA (3.83) but I only have 55 credits. I just feel like not having 90 credits will hurt my chances. My professor/advisor said that if I don’t get in now I will for sure get in when I have 90 credits.
Congratulations @cranwoods
My transcripts haven’t loaded, and I haven’t received an email. I guess I’ll try again next week
If you don’t get in directly to your major (which i hope you do) you can still get in to UW as like a pre-major and complete some prequisite classes for one or two quarters then apply directly to your major As of now, I only have like 68 quarter credits. It is very competitive to apply directly to the major but no matter how many credits you have or whether you have an AA or not, there are always light for those who seek it.
I have talked to an advisor for the major I wanted to do and at first I wanted to do International studies the general major but then she told me about Asian studies which she thought sound like something I would prefer better than just overall international studies plus it’s an open major unlike international studies. I know they don’t count my classes I am currently taking but if they do after December 8th I will have 70 credits. You can also see a grade trend on my transcript showing that I improved every quarter.
I actually applied for Asian studies as my second major so since I didn’t apply for my first major (it’s a competitive one and I don’t have all the pre-reqs) if I get admitted, I will be placed in Asian studies major.
My transcript loaded
YAY! Congratulations.
I find it very odd that many of us haven’t recieved decisions yet. I thought everyone’s application status would be updated on the same day.
@peao1996 Thanks for the update! Since you said you were accepted into your major, then i’m sure you were also admitted for general admission. I think the loaded unofficial transcript confirms that. Congrats!
@Girlygirl256 UW does it in waves. I think last year they had 3 waves. I’m hoping everyone finds out my Monday because this wait is killing me. I’m genuinely very happy for everyone that made it but deep inside it kinda makes me sad that I didn’t find out. The anxiety levels are too high.
I’m nervous for both outcomes. I’ll be sad if I don’t get accepted but then if I do get accepted them I am going to freak out about where I am going to live. We only have like a month to figure all that out. @UWwinter2017 will you just be in Asian Studies or do you have a specific concentration in mind? If I get accepted I will do the China concentration.
@Aharris1105 exactly. There is a lot to do in one month from orientations or finding a place to live to actually moving. I think I want to try a couple of concentration before I do pick one like you know I want to sample them before setting my mind on one.
