Yeah I’m sorry I just dunno how or why this would show acceptance. Mine only shows my student ID from UWTacoma and my other credit info…
Has anyone had any luck with loading their transcript yet?
NOTHING! its like they forgot about us.
I am new to this thread but applied for winter quarter too I’m from WSU trying to transfer
Has anyone heard yet??
I’m also new to this thread, and haven’t heard or seen anything. I think we should be hearing from them soon though because admitted transfer students can start registering for classes on the 21st.
November?
Maybe unofficial transcript thing doesn’t work anymore
I was telling myself that I was not going to obsess over this, but I have been reading through every thread freaking out now.
My overall GPA is 3.44 (the average for winter transfer is also 3.44)
I was a running start student who just graduated and I am almost finished getting my prereqs for the Foster School.
I am currently in at Edmonds CC, so I guess in-state CC transfer get an advantage in the transfer process?
I have around 88 credits. Almost all transferable. I couldn’t actually apply to Foster this quarter because I am finishing the last of my prereqs. Will only have one left to finish during winter quarter. But I really showed my passion for business and plan to get there in my essay.
I wrote a pretty good essay in my opinion, about how in my junior year of high school I was not very motivated because I didn’t really know what I wanted to do in terms of a future career and what I wanted to study. But then I was in a business class that ignited my passion to go completely into business, and my grades have only been dramatically improving since then. I also talked about my cultural awareness and experiences with growing up in a family of Russian immigrants. At the end I left a note about how spring quarter of 2015 I was involved in an accident that left me staying home for over a month, and thats why I have two W’s on my transcript and a 3.0 in the one remaining class I worked on that quarter.
I feel like my gpa is leaving me right at the average and that means I am either in or out, not leaning in any particular direction with my chances. This is mostly why I am freaking out.
What do you guys think? Maybe they are taking longer to give us notification because there could be a lot more people applying…
@DianaUW2017 hey!! I am in the same boat as you. Same major same gpa and I don’t have my pre reqs done either. I’m freaking out too good luck!!
My gpa is 3.47 and I will have an AA
I think so too. I feel like literally in the next seven days we will know. I hope so at least cause I gotta figure my life out lol
ugh same. I need to register for classes here if I don’t get into UW and classes fill up fast ugh
@DianaUW2017, I think you have a pretty solid chance of getting in, especially since you were a running start student. You have a lot of credits, which will definitely look good since you’re basically done your pre requisites. I think that no mattter how much any of us say we’re not going to stress out over the waiting period, we managed to stress out anyways. I hope that for all of our sakes, that the waiting doesn’t last much longer, and that we all get in!
And yes @UWwinter2017 admitted transfer students can start registering for courses starting November 21st, or at least that’s what the schedule says on the website.
I’m an intended communications major, who apply for admission to the school, and not the major. I have a 3.3 GPA, which would have been higher if it weren’t for some circumstances with mental health when I first started. I have over 40 credits, and all but three pre reqs done. (Calc I, and the two Intro to communications courses).
@hoping4uw0323 So you are applying ahead of getting your AA?
Can you guys all post when you get notified???
@Aharris1105 I am applying without an AA I’ve been taking courses there since I was a senior of high school, and have basically exhausted all the courses I could take without taking irrelevant courses.
@hoping4uw0323 I am also applying ahead of getting my AA. I am glad I am not the only one. I have I think 55 credits currently.
@Aharris1105 When this semester ends, I’ll have 58 credits. It’s nearly as much as you guys, but I’m hoping that it’s enough to get into UW.
I called up the UW Office of Admissions and they told me quite frankly that they cannot specify when we will hear back for winter quarter, and it could be anywhere from now to mid December. Honestly this is so frustrating as I have to register for classes next week and would like to know if I should in the first place. Ugh.
