I am considering applying for Winter 2009 at UC Davis, and have a question I couldn't find an answer to. I will complete all of my lower division requirements by the end of the Fall term, but does Davis take these into consideration, or is the cutoff for winter the summer semester? The reason I ask is that I know my community college doesn't even release grades till about the 10th of January, and this year UC Davis's winter quarter started January 7th.

well when you apply for winter its in the summer and you can put courses that you're taking in the fall, i did it last year so i'm assuming you can do it if their letting you.

Sabatu,

If I understand correctly, UCs give full consideration to the last "regular" term before your transfer. In the case of Winter transfers, that's Fall. You might want to call Davis to make sure, though.

KGZotU has it correct. All required coursework must be completed by the end of the regular term prior to you enrolling at the UC. For fall enrollment it is the prior spring term and for the winter quarter it is the prior fall term.

Okay, great. Thank you all for clearing that up for me.

i think you should keep in mind that not all the campuses are open for admissions during the winter. i originally wanted to transfer to UCSD for this winter but they were not accepting any applicants for that term. Same thing applied to Berkeley.

^^ ucsd does accept winter, but only to the ppl with TAG
