We need a thread for students who wish to begin studying for next semester's classes, but require relevant materials: Syllabus, Required Reading, Assignments. Basically what you might find in the bSpace.

-Requesting: MCB 102 & MCB 160. Syllabi & Reading please!

-I have:
Summer 2012: Chem 3A/L
Fall 2012: Chem 3B/L, MCB 163, IB 131, CogSci 98/198 (Quantum Consciousness)

Here’s a neat trick I’ve discovered:

log into bSpace and click on the “My Workspace” tab at the top left corner (this might be the default page)

look at the menu “Workspace Tools” on the left hand side of the page and select “Membership”

look at the menu again and just to the right you’ll see two options, “My Current Sites” and “Joinable Sites”; click on “Joinable Sites”

you should see a search box at the right side of the page; type in the name of the course and hit search (note that the name of the course may be abbreviated or acronymized so it may take a couple tries before it shows up; in your case, “MCB 102” brings up nothing so I tried just “102” and found it listed as “MCELLBI 102”)

once you find the course you’re searching for (multiple semesters for the same course may show up; I just choose the most recent one), click “Join” and refresh your page; it should then show up as one of your tabs

and voila! You should now be able to access the syllabus and other stuff you’re looking for

Note that not all courses use bSpace (i.e. every CS and math course I’ve ever taken), so obviously you’re not gonna be able to find them here. But the ones that do use bSpace should be pretty easily locatable. Hope this helps!

^Wow, thanks cap! Nice tip :)!
