winter break

What happens to the stuff in our dorms during winter break? Do we move out and then move back in during the spring?

I know this is a weird question since we're just moving in...

My son, who is a sophomore at UMD, may be taking a course during winter session. He is presently living in his frat house which will be closed during the winter break. Does anyone have any suggestions at to where he could live for these three weeks. I e-mailed residential life to see if they had any suggestions. Thank you

Otto, maybe he can find someone who lives in Commons (or an off-campus apartment) who is not planning to be around for that time to stay (paying rent, of course).

Otherwise, the Language House (St. Mary’s) is open throughout break. You DO have to pay an additional room fee. I do not know if this is just for people who live there who are ALSO taking Winter session classes or not. Reslife should be able to give you info. I’d assume that they would have some options, especially for international students, to address this?
